What is the Honey G petition and why are X Factor fans so upset?
THE X Factor finals haven't even begun - and there is already a petition to get one of the budding hopefuls booted out.
Judge Sharon Osbourne sparked controversy among fans who branded her "deluded" when she put Honey G through in her Overs category.
We find out why her decision prompted such a frenzy and why the campaign to see the quirky singer removed from the talent show has gained 16,000 signatures in less than a week.
What's the drama?
Things kicked off last weekend when returning judge Sharon Osbourne picked the plucky hopeful for a spot in this Saturday's live final.
X Factor fans were outraged after judge Sharon Osbourne handed her a spot in the live finals along with Saara Aalto and Relley C — and at the expense of Yorkshire singer Samantha Atkinson.
Honey G was mocked for her performance of Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise and fans were stunned when she was handed a place in the final 12.
What did they say?
Viewers took to Twitter in their droves to vent their fury.
One wrote: “And there’s the confirmation we need that #XFactor needs to end. Just stop with this utter nonsense now. #HoneyG.”
Another added: “I think im going to boycott this years xfactor on the grounds that the judges are turning the show into laughing stock #HoneyG #deluded…”
One fuming viewer took aim at Sharon, writing: “Sharon Osbourne needs to be tested for drugs. How can she logically explain the selection of Honey G #XFactor…”
Another tweeted: “Honey G getting through to the live shows is everything that’s wrong with X factor…”
Who launched the petition?
None other than Jasemin Kara - the cousin of X Factor reject Samantha Atkinson.
Samantha, 33, was left heartbroken when she lost her place to Honey G at the Judges' Houses stage of the programme.
She branded the show a "fix" and set up the online forum which has now secured more than 16,000 signatures of support.
Why did she set it up?
Jasemin said: “For Sharon to go with Honey I think is deluded.
“I do believe producers tell them what to do in order to bring attention to the show and get headlines.
“I doubt many people will keep watching this year and I’m not just saying that because my cousin didn’t go through – there were other acts I believed were robbed.”
What has Honey had to say?
The rapping star has attempted to silence her haters ahead of Saturday's show by vowing to prove she is the real deal with her performance.
She said: "I might not have the most amazing voice but I’m a heavyweight rapper, singer and producer and I write my own lyrics, so I’ve got real skills to bring to the table.
“To be regarded as a joke is really insulting.”
While unable to reveal the song she would sing this weekend, the rapper, whose real name is Anna Gilford, said that she wanted to "make the hairs on the backs of peoples’ necks stand up."
