LOUIS Walsh couldn't resist mocking Simon Cowell at his birthday bash over dwindling X Factor ratings.
The 64-year-old Irish TV personality was sacked from the singing talent show last year, but was brought back in by the media mogul after a ratings dropped last year.
He had been leaving Simon's 57th birthday party at La Famiglia in London when he made the playful dig.
When asked what he had got the X Factor boss for his birthday he quipped: "Ratings... for his new series."
He threw his head back and laughed before slipping into her cab.
But fans haven't been laughing very much with Louis after his antics on the show.
At the weekends viewers were left furious after he ditched popular girl group 4 of Diamonds for 'joke act' Ottavio and Bradley (or Bratavio) and called for him to be sacked.
X Factor fans were full of praise for the all-female pop band following their “amazing” performance during the judges’ houses stage, and they were stunned when mentor Louis gave them the boot.
According to a source, the duo are reportedly "terrified" that they'll get the boot.
They exclusively told The Sun Online the huge swell of negative response has caused the quirky singers’ sleepless nights, and said: “Ottavio and Bradly have barely slept since Saturday night, they’re really worried that Louis will be sacked.
“After it was announced they would be going to live shows, they checked their social media and saw a public backlash against Louis, it’s really bothered them.
“Both Ottavio and Bradly are genuine, caring guys and the thought that Louis is getting abuse because of his decision to put them in the live shows has really upset them.
“They’ve barely slept at all over the past 48 hours, leaving them exhausted and emotional.”
