Viewers ‘confused’ as SUSPENDED X Factor act Brooks Way make appearance during live show

Duo were blocked from performing hours before due on stage

X FACTOR fans were left scratching their heads as Brooks Way flashed up on screen at the beginning of the first live show despite being suspended.

The teenagers, twins Kyle and Josh Brooks, 17, were due to perform for the first time as part of Louis Walsh’s groups category.

But their dreams were left in tatters after bosses hauled them in earlier today for crisis talks.

And after a heated conversation, the pair were told they would not be appearing alongside their remaining 11 rivals.

However they were still included in a VT introduced by show host Dermot O’Leary listing them among this year’s Top 12 finalists.

One viewer tweeted: "I'm confused, are @ThisIsTheBrooks off the X factor completely or just tonight?"

Another chipped in: "The Brooks Way's Twitter has them in make up an hour ago... what's happened?! # XFactor."

Addressing the situation, Dermot said: "Before we go any further, sadly, due to circumstances, Brooks Way won't be appearing."

Brooks Way were sensationally axed from tonight’s live show after a Sun on Sunday investigation.

We’ll be revealing the reason for their axing later tonight.

Sources confirmed the lads have not been axed permanently from the show.

But it is understood that ITV have now launched their own investigation in a bid to decide whether or not they should remain.

The twins, from South Wales, first entered the X Factor in 2014, when they narrowly missed out on a place at the live shows.

And a source close to them said on Saturday: “They will be devastated.”
