Cheryl would make ‘a brilliant mum’ says best mate Kimberley Walsh amid rumours she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Liam Payne

FORMER Girls Aloud band mate Kimberley Walsh says Cheryl would make "a brilliant mum."

The comments come after growing speculation that the Fight for This Love hit maker is expecting her first baby with 23-year-old boyfriend Liam Payne.

Speaking to 34-year-old Kimberley said: She’s really happy right now. And she’ll be a brilliant mum. She has loads of nieces and nephews, so she’s used to the madness of children."

She added Cheryl and Nicola Roberts, another former bandmate, are both "naturally good with kids".

West End star Kimberley is expecting her second child in December with hubby Justin Scott, and says Cheryl gets on well with their two-year-old Bobby.

She says Cheryl and Nicola often visit the couple and play with Bobby.

The three women have remained close since Girls Aloud split 2013, with Cheryl and Nicola even acting as bridesmaids at Kimberley's wedding earlier this year.

Rumours Cheryl was pregnant first began swirling after One Direction star Liam quietly updated his Twitter bio to read: "The luckiest man in the world", sending his fans into meltdown.

The former X Factor judge then fuelled conjecture after she stepped out with a supposed fuller figure at a L'Oreal bash in Paris.

A few days later she was spotted out and about in London in a baggy coat, appearing to be covering her tummy.

Bookies have even suspended bets on whether she is expecting or not.
