Gogglebox star Chris Steed reveals he had hair transplant after his wig got ripped off during romp
The TV star started losing his hair when he was just 18
GOGGLEBOX favourite Chris Steed has revealed details behind his hair transplant- and admitted he decided to have the op after his wig was ripped off his head during a passionate romp.
The 40-year-old hairdresser began losing his hair aged eighteen and resorted to wigs to hide his thinning mane.
But the final straw for the telly addict to get a more permanent solution came when his hairpiece came off in the throws of passion.
He told the : "I was getting it on with a guy and he started running his fingers through my hair and he sort of almost ripped it off my head.
"It was really awful. I was getting into the midst of passion and the last thing you expect is for someone to rip your hair off."
After he was proposed to by his partner Tony while in Paris, he has vowed to undergo the op to get a full head of hair before his big day.
Now, after two hair treatments, the Brighton lad says he feels "10 years younger."
He added: "I started losing my hair at a very early age and would be as bald as a coot now, just like my dad, if I had not received this help."

The hairdresser had his first transplant five years ago, and then decided to have another one after finding fame on the Channel 4 show.
He appeared in the last series with a shaven head and wore a variety of hats while his mane grew back.
He had the procedure just after Christmas last year, however his new shaved look confused some fans.
He revealed: "I had messages on Twitter from fans asking if he had cancer because I was wearing the cap - they thought I might have lost my hair through chemotherapy!
"Well, the truth is that I have had a hair transplant and I am very happy to make that clear. I have posed up now for pictures because all the lovely new hair has grown back."
The star's procedure was done by Dr Shahmalak, who also did Callum Best's treatment.
He said: "Hair transplants have never been more popular - particularly amongst celebrities who need to look good to stay in the public eye.
"You can completely change your appearance for the same cost as upgrading your car.
"Chris was a joy to work with and has had a great result around his crown."
