The Chase’s Anne Hegarty doesn’t care when trolls make cruel vibes about her image
The "thick-skinned" brain box doesn't get worked up about what people say
THE Chase's Anne Hegarty says she doesn't care when trolls make fun of the way she looks.
She's known for her no nonsense attitude in front of the cameras, and she's a tough cookie off camera too.
Anne, who joined the show six years ago admits to being "thick-skinned" about internet trolls.
Speaking to the Daily Star she said: “I’m quite thick-skinned when it comes to the internet.
“An awful lot of people get quite worked up about what people say. But I think, ‘Say what you like’.
“If someone said I was cheating on the show then I’d tell them I’m not. But if they just say they think I’m a big fat munter, I’d be thinking, ‘Yes I am…’ I don’t mind."
The brain box known as The Governess added: “At first there were men who couldn’t believe there was a woman on the TV who they didn’t fancy. They couldn’t believe it was actually allowed.

“But they all seem to have drifted off now, which is good. I find some men quite like me.”
Anne has gathered up a substantial following among Chase fans.
She revealed: “I get all sorts of people who follow me. The show has a very general appeal. I saw last week that a student house have made their TV a shrine to me.
They have pictures of me stuck all over their telly, which is slightly freakish."
She also admitted she enjoyed being recognised.
Since The Chase began in 2009 it has become ITV most successful daytime show.
Watch The Chase on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
