'WE'RE SO LOVEY DOVEY'

Holly Willoughby lifts the lid on her loved-up marriage days after bizarre mystery surrounding car

Star describes honest relationship with husband Dan Baldwin days after reporting her car missing... only to find Dan had it

TV’S Holly Willoughby gushed about how in tune she is with husband Dan Baldwin – just days before reporting her car stolen and cops finding it parked near HIS office.

At an event to promote her new dating show, she said: “We’re very honest with each other, we listen to each other. I love him and he loves me.”

But on Thursday evening she rang police to say her green Mercedes SUV had been taken.

Hours later, officers found it in a residential street three miles from the couple’s £3million home in Barnes, South West London.

And a Met Police spokesman said last night that officers are still investigating the car’s disappearance and have taken away CCTV footage from businesses around where it was found in West Kensington, near 41-year- old Dan’s TV production company headquarters.

The odd episode came after Holly talked warmly to The Sun about her nine-year marriage to Dan, with whom she has three children.

And as she gears up to present new ITV match-making show Meet The Parents she hit out at today’s dating scene, saying: “It’s sad that it’s all based on looks, because that doesn’t last long.

"I couldn’t cope.

“I actually feel sorry for people dating now. Their level of contentment is much lower. Being content is really lovely but it seems nowadays people don’t want to commit to anybody.”

Holly, 35, rates a partner’s humour highly and said of Dan: “He makes me laugh more than anyone. I’m always very proud of him.

“I know whenever anyone meets him they are pretty much always going to like him more than they like me.

“My friends are like, ‘Hi Holly, where’s Dan?’ That always happens.

“I love him and he loves me. We respect each other and we probably drive each other round the twist.

"But we give each other space for that as well.”

The pair met on the set of children’s game show Ministry Of Mayhem in 2004 but kept their affair quiet at first.

Holly said: “We were friends for ages, then I realised I fancied him, but we were working together so we kept it to ourselves for about six months.”

They married in 2007 and nine years later she is adamant that children Harry, seven, Belle, five, and two-year-old Chester should understand how marriages work.

She said: “Although they are young you need to teach them about relationships now, as in friendships, how they react to people, how certain people don’t make them feel very good.

“I’m a massive romantic. I love listening to stuff about people’s relationships, hearing what’s gone wrong and what’s gone right.

“In the past I’ve been a bit of an agony aunt in my circle of friends and people have listened to me. Relationships are interesting.”

So Holly seems the perfect host for Meet The Parents, in which lonely hearts interview the parents of prospective dates to find a match.

She explained: “You have a single person and through a series of questions they get to pick a date.

“But the answers to those questions are coming from the potential date’s parents, so you don’t get to see them.

“You’re basing your decision on what they say about their son or daughter, on what you’re being told about this person.

“I took the show because I love dating shows. I’ve told Paddy McGuinness that if Take Me Out wasn’t his show, I’d love to do it.”

—  Meet The Parents starts on Saturday at 7pm on ITV
