The X Factor’s Dermot O’Leary fuels rumours Sharon Osbourne was drunk during live show

THE X Factor host Dermot O'Leary fuelled rumours suggesting Sharon Osbourne was drunk during the live show on Saturday night.

Fans began speculating about whether Sharon had been drinking after she touched Nicole Scherzinger's boobs and flubbed her lines.

Dermot later addressed the boozing rumours, and quipped that Sharon had been in "high spirits".

During Sunday's results show, he said: "Despite what some reports are saying all the judges drank backstage was water.

"It was just high spirits."

However, Dermot couldn't resist poking fun at Sharon, adding: "Those spirits being vodka, gin and whisky."

Viewers were left baffled by Sharon's behaviour on Saturday night's live show, which included fluffing her lines when welcoming performer Saara Aalto to the stage.

She also referred to Bratavio as the “ugly stepsisters", and introduced her act Honey G while looking into the wrong camera.

The gaffs prompted fans to flock to social media to debate whether Sharon had been guzzling more than just water and soft drinks.

One fan tweeted: "Is Sharon doing the xfactor drunk this year she’s crackers maaaan #XFactor”.

Another added: "I wish I was as drunk as Sharon right now #XFactor” and one other posted: "Glad to see that Sharon has also been playing the #XFactor drinking game tonight."
