Ashley Cain and Safiyya Vorajee reveal emotional tribute to late daughter Azaylia on her second birthday

ASHLEY Cain and Safiyya Vorajee have paid an emotional tribute to their late daughter Azaylia on her second birthday.

The former couple were left heartbroken after tragically losing their daughter at eight months old following a battle with leukaemia.

Azaylia - who was diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia at eight weeks old - would have turned two today (August 10).

Despite their grief, Ashley and Safiyya have both taken to Instagram to mark Azalyia's special day.

As well as numerous birthday tributes, Safiyya shared a video of her daughter's grave which has been decorated with photos of Azalyia.

Other tributes include flowers, cards and banners to remember the brave tot.

Safiyya was also seen sporting a pink dress in honour of her little girl as she marked the occasion with loved ones.

Meanwhile, Ashley posted a throwback snap of himself and Azalyia in honour of the day.

"Happy Heavenly 2nd Birthday Azalyia," the reality star wrote. "I Love You. I Long For You";

Ashley went on: "My angel, my life, my entire, you're the one that I want, the one that I need, please be with me always, my love, my everything."

Safiyya also took to her profile to pay tribute to her daughter in a lengthy post on Tuesday evening.

Alongside a video of herself in labour, she penned: "Waiting for sweet baby Azaylia to arrive (2 years ago). I was in labour for soooo long and was blessed the following morning when I gave birth to my daughter my baby my hero my diamond.

"This was such a happy time in our life waiting for our baby to arrive the most precious little girl my heart fills I smile and then it shatters me at the same time watching this video."

Safiyya continued: "Tomorrow at 06:56 10th Aug is when beautiful baby Azaylia was born my daughter my hero she will always be, it’s been a hard day today decorating her garden for tomorrow when she will be 2 in heaven.

"You are always in my heart and I still carry your cells in my body, which I am forever grateful for."

"Tomorrow will be a very gentle day. I LOVE YOU AZAYLIA DIAMOND CAIN."

Azaylia was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia when she was eight weeks old.

While her life was cruelly cut short, the tot’s diagnosis and subsequent fundraiser got worldwide attention and a staggering £1.6million was raised in her name in just a few days.
