After the attack, which also left her blind in one eye, she feared she may never have children - but now she is mum to her adorable kids.

Belle
Katie has two children and gave birth to her first child, Belle Elizabeth, in March 2014 with now husband Richard James Sutton.
Announcing the news on Twitter at the time she said: tweeted: "I am delighted to tell you that our daughter Belle Elizabeth was born today!
"Overwhelmed with happiness.
"We can't wait to get to know her!"

It was also a double celebration in 2014, as in the December Katie announced her engagement to Richard.
She then married the carpenter and builder in November 2015.
Penelope
In October 2017, Katie announced that she was pregnant again.
At the time she told magazine: "Becoming a mum has enriched my life in ways I never imagined and I feel so thankful to be experiencing that again.

Katie then gave birth to the couple's second daughter, Penelope, in December 2017.
She announced the news with a touching picture of her baby's hand in her own posted onto her Instagram account.
Katie wrote: "We’ve been blessed with the safe arrival of a baby girl.

Katie and her husband keep their kids' faces off social media, as they want to protect their privacy.
The mum-of-two tends to keep the identity of her children out of the spotlight.
However, the Loose Women star has often talked about being a mother.
Katie previously revealed how she was worried that her acid attack would prevent her from having kids, as she had to take medication that can affect fertility.
Speaking to magazine after the birth of Penelope, she said: "There was a time when I’d resigned myself to never having a family of my own.
"With Penelope, we were trying for over a year and a half."
Meanwhile, Katie also previously revealed how children will need to learn how to earn their own money when they get older.
