Strictly’s Ed Balls propositions Loose Women’s Janet Street Porter LIVE on air before admitting he’d snog her

SPARKS were flying between Strictly Come Dancing star Ed Balls and Loose Women’s Janet Street Porter as the pair shamelessly flirted throughout Tuesday’s show.

At one point Ed turned his charms on Janet, asking her: “which would you prefer?” when she quizzed him on whether he preferred “lights on or lights off?”

The audience squealed with delight at their flirty exchange but there was more to come.

Before the Loose Women went to a break, they played Snog, Marry or Avoid with Ed and when they came back on screen, Ed wasn’t hesitant when declaring he’d “snog Janet”.

The flirtation between Ed and Janet started long before the programme had started however.

Walking on screen during the live link with This Morning, Ed swooped on Janet and gave her a rose and a kiss.

Janet stayed strong however, saying: “Look just because I've got a soft spot for Ed, doesn't mean I'm going to give him an easy ride.”

Loose Women fans loved their chemistry on screen and took to Twitter to share how much they were enjoyed their flirtation.

The politician is now through to the third round of the competition and has been called a “national treasure” but his old former, former Labour leader Ed Miliband.

He said: “He's brilliant… he's got better and better.

“I'm not going to paint my face green anytime soon, but it suits him.”

Ed has quickly become a very popular member of the Strictly family, revealing recently he’s in constant touch with the other contestants.

He said: “We have a WhatsApp group that everybody’s on.

“There’s a lot of support. For me and Louise Redknapp, we have young children watching us on TV and we are slightly outside our comfort zone.
