Sean Paul reveals wild and unlikely new hobby that is very far-fetched from the high-life of his rapping career
HE has been touring the world and partying for much of the past two decades but when not living the high life Sean Paul says he is Jamaica’s answer to Alan Titchmarsh.
The dancehall superstar got into gardening while stuck at home during the lockdowns and is now so good at it that he is launching a pepper sauce made from his own veg.
In an exclusive chat with Bizarre, green-fingered Sean explained: “I do gardening. I’ve got a little patch ready in my garden and I planted eggplants, tomatoes, lettuce, pak choi, and also sweet peppers and scotch bonnet peppers.
"The scotch bonnets are still bearing now, and I picked about 60 of them yesterday. When I’m on tour I have people to take care of them for me.
“I’ve got so many that I’m starting my own pepper sauce, called Scorcha. It’s going to be available near the end of the year.”
It’s not all plain sailing though.

He added: “I tried my hand at making ginger beer and that was a disaster.”
The sauce is named after his eighth studio album, which he will be performing on tour across the UK, starting in Newcastle on August 23.
Sean said: “Scorcha came out in May so I have a lot of new tunes to showcase and we’ll be doing the hits. It’s going to be a fun time
“It’s always good to have special guests, I’ve been reaching out, so fingers crossed.”

Once that is done he can start thinking about his next big event — his 50th birthday in January.
The dad-of-two explained: “I’m the party guy, doing it every day. So when it comes to my own birthday I just chill with my family. With it being such a monumental day though, it’s a big milestone so I will throw something."
That said, he miraculously still looks years younger than he is, although he insists the secret to that isn’t Botox.
He said with a laugh: “Nah man, it’s from good food. Living in Jamaica, the lifestyle is different and I’ve been blessed with that.
“I have younger kids because of the industry. I waited and did a lot of work before it was time to build a family.
“Most of my kids’ friends’ parents are about 20 years younger than me. Life on the road is hectic and keeps me on my toes.”
But there’s no chance of him retiring.
Sean added: “It does get harder but I’ve never felt like, ‘Nah I’m not doing this any more’. I have enough money but when I come home after a hard tour, I’m like, ‘Let me rest’.
“That rest is a day or two and then I’m back in the studio. I’m always doing it because I love it. Giving people that enjoyment on stage really keeps me going.”
Kourt short again?
SHE is more usually seen on a luxurious holiday or at her sprawling Los Angeles home.
But Kourtney Kardashian has been posing in a location a lot less glam – a gents’ lavvie.
She shared a series of pictures of herself pouting next to a set of urinals backstage in Cleveland, Ohio, where she had joined her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, on his tour.
She captioned the snaps “Backstage” but fans soon spotted she was hanging out in the blokes’ loos.
The Kardashians: Keeping it classy as ever.
Sam gets saucy with Kim
AFTER giving us a stripped-back, self-love anthem for a comeback single Love Me More, I can reveal Sam Smith’s next track is far more racy.
Sam has teamed up with Kim Petras on the upbeat song about a naughty hubby going to the “body shop”.
Fill in the gaps yourself.
While it’s got nothing on Kim’s infamous EP Slut Pop, which dropped in February, it’s easily one of Sam’s cheekiest tracks.
Sam sings: “Mummy don’t know Daddy’s getting hot at the body shop, doing something unholy. He’s sat back while she’s dropping in, she be popping in, yeah she put it down slowly.”
The track is set to be released next month, with a video being shot in the next few weeks.
A source said: “Sam and Kim have been friends for a while and are big supporters of each other’s music.
“Working together just made sense. As soon as they hit the studio the song just came alive. It’s upbeat and fun.”
After splashing out on a luxury home in Buckinghamshire, Sam spent lockdown writing and recording his fourth album, the follow-up to 2020’s Love Goes.
Sam said: “People are seeing for the first time what my family and friends have seen for my whole life. It has taken ten years I guess to show 100 per cent of myself.
“This album is the best album I’ve ever made.”
I can’t wait to hear it.
Coldplay tribute to Darius
FRONTMAN Chris Martin halted Coldplay's Wembley gig on Tuesday to pay tribute to Pop Idol star Darius and Grease legend Olivia Newton-John.
Chris invited Aussie singer Natalie Imbruglia on stage before recalling how she had helped organise breakfast with Olivia for his father.
He said: “We have been friends with Natalie now for 22 years and she has been so kind to us. A long time ago we were in Australia playing a bushfire concert and headlining was Barry Gibb and Barry brought along Olivia.
“My dad had been in love with her for 70 years so I said to Nat, ‘Is there any way you could get her to come and say hello to my dad?’. We ended up having breakfast together.
"Us, Barry, Natalie, Shane Warne and Oliva Newton-John. Olivia was the sweetest and kindest person.”
Before setting off fireworks, he added: “We are going to send love from Wembley out to the world. We are going to send to Darius’s family – our old friend Darius – and to Ukraine.”
Nicki lets rip over Britney
I HAVE had a few choice words to say about Nicki Minaj over the years but to her credit, boy is she loyal.
The rapper has raced to the defence of Britney Spears after Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline slammed her parenting skills.
Nicki said: “A grown man? And as soon as you see someone getting married and being happy and moving on and being free and feeling good in their own skin.
“To do the very thing you know will attempt to break them down. Only cowards use the media against a person they once loved.”
The Super Bass singer added: “She loves her kids more than life itself.”
Nicki and Britney previously teamed up on a remix of Britney’s 2011 hit Till The World Ends alongside Kesha.
I previously told how Britney is making a comeback with Sir Elton John – reworking his 1971 hit Tiny Dancer.
The quicker the focus is back on her music the better.
Hailey's still Just-in love
HAILEY BIEBER says her marriage to Canadian pop star Justin is stronger than ever after they both fell seriously ill.
The model suffered a mini stroke in March and Justin was forced to cancel a number of gigs on his rescheduled world tour after he was struck with facial paralysis caused by Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
Justin and Hailey are now back to their best and in a new interview with mag she told how they got through the hard times.
Hailey, who was pictured in a plunging Yves Saint Laurent dress alongside the interview, said: “He’s still the person that I want to be rushing back to.
“I might fly somewhere and go do a job, but I can’t wait to come back and hang out.
“And I feel like that’s because of the effort that’s been put in on both sides.
“At the end of the day, he’s my best friend.
“But it still does take a lot of work to make it work.”
Is this Demi Lova?
DEMI LOVATO couldn’t stop smiling as she held hands with her rumoured new boyfriend.
She was in New York with Canadian singer Jordan Lutes, who worked with her on her new track Substance.
It was revealed last month that Demi had fallen for a male musician but she kept his identity under wraps.

Jordan gushed about working on Substance, which comes from her album Holy Fvck – out tomorrow.
He said: “A crazy milestone for me but beyond that I feel so blessed to be a part of something I’m such a big fan of.”
