Strictly Come Dancing fans call for return of Tameka Empson after Will Young quits competition
Will Young announced this evening that he was quitting the show due to 'personal reasons'
STRICTLY Come Dancing fans are calling for the return of Eastenders star Tameka Empson after Will Young shockingly quit the competition this evening.
The singer, 37, dramatically pulled out of the competition citing "personal reasons".
But it seems as though Strictly fans are keen for much-loved soap actress Tameka Empson to replace the singer.
Viewers were shocked on Sunday night after Tameka found herself in the bottom two and was in a dance-off with Laura Whitmore.
On Monday she tearfully spoke of her shock of being booted out of the competition on spin-off show It Takes Two.
The star and her dance partner Gorka had danced a cop-inspired Tango to ‘The Heat Is On’ from the movie Beverly Hills Cop, which they scored a respectable 28 for, and speaking to Zoe Ball, Tameka couldn’t hide her disappointment and confusion at being in the bottom two.
She said: “I was surprised if I’m honest, not being big headed. I didn’t put a foot wrong and being in that character.”
