Piers Morgan slams Will Young for entering TV talent shows after quitting Strictly Come Dancing
Good Morning Britain presenter left unimpressed by former Pop Idol winner's decision
PIERS Morgan has blasted Will Young for quitting Strictly Come Dancing after only three weeks of competition.
The former Pop Idol winner withdrew from the BBC One dancing show on Tuesday, citing "personal reasons" for his departure.
Speculation quickly became rife over what the real reason was, with a number of sources speculating the primetime show was too much pressure for Will, who is notoriously private.
But this explanation didn't wash with Good Morning Britain presenter Piers, who took to Twitter to blast the 37-year-old, who first found fame as the winner of Pop Idol in 2002.
He wrote: "If Will Young is so 'fiercely private' as everyone keeps saying, why does he keep entering TV reality & talent shows?"
While the singer has yet to respond to Piers' comments, the 51-year-old's nemesis Lord Alan Sugar was quick to hit back.
He tweeted: "He is like you fame mad.

"Can't keep off TV has withdrawal symptoms when not only telly or in limelight [sic]".
Never one to hold back, Piers replied: "You're just as bad.
"Only difference is I'm a global TV star, you're big in Chigwell".
The Twitter spat over Will's departure comes as the singer was spotted out and about for the first time since the announcement on Tuesday evening.
The star was spotted out walking his dogs in a London park and looked deep in thought.
However he did text in to the Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio Two on Wednesday insisting there was no drama around his exit.
He wrote: "Here’s the thing. I’m absolutely dandy, thanks.
“It’s all very undramatic really. I’ve done my statement and others can say what they want to say. I never read what they say anyhow.”
