What’s on TV tonight? Shows to watch on Friday 21 October – from Stand Up to Cancer Live to The Level
Also on tonight: QI and The Graham Norton Show

Live! Stand Up To Cancer 7pm c4
Make no mistake, Channel 4 have really pulled out the stops for their night of fundraising for Cancer Research UK.
Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Adam Hills host a night which kicks off with Britney Spears introducing the likes of Michael Bublé, Jason Kenny and Laura Trott.
The fun-packed show then moves on to a Last Leg special, featuring Broadchurch’s Olivia Colman and David Tennant and a Hollywood sketch from heavy-hitters Jon Hamm, Matthew McConaughey and Eva Longoria.
We’re excited to find out which stars are alongside our favourite families on Gogglebox: Celebrity Special at 9pm. Following that, there’s a silly episode of Humans where the Hawkins family meet some synths including Steve Coogan and Noel Gallagher.
And Bowie fans won’t want to miss Boy George’s thoughtful tribute to the late music legend at 11pm.
What a night of fun and frolics it’s promising to be, and all for a great cause.
Get comfortable in front of the telly and don’t forget to donate!
New! QI 10pm BBC2
Sandi Toksvig takes over hosting duties from Stephen Fry as the ‘N’ Series kicks off – and she’s
so good, regular Alan Davies exclaims: “You’re in the right chair!”
He’s joined by comedians Romesh Ranganathan, Cariad Lloyd and Phill Jupitus as the facts fly. As informative and fun as it’s always been an impressive 13 years down the line.
The Level 9pm ITV
Under pressure and unable to work out which colleague she can trust, Nancy (Karla Crome) tries to turn the tables on whoever is after her by going undercover as a bent cop (surely that can’t end well…), with only DCI Newman (the magnificent Lindsey Coulson) in the know.
Slower-paced than usual, but the explosive ending is definitely worth the wait.
The Graham Norton Show 10.35pm BBC1
There’s some serious A-list buttocks on Graham’s sofa tonight. Tom Cruise and his co-star in the new Jack Reacher film Cobie Smulders touch down alongside Jude Law and Catherine Tate.
If there’s going to be a better chat show line-up this year, then it’s going to have to go some. What a way to kick off your weekend.
