X Factor contestant Marcus Collins hints show is FIXED with cryptic post about coming second
The singer appeared on the show in 2011 and came second to Little Mix
X FACTOR contestant Marcus Collins has appeared to suggest that the ITV singing contest might be fixed.
The singer – who came second to Little Mix back in 2011 - posted a cryptic message about his time on the show, hinting that all may not be as it seems.
Sharing a shot of himself alongside his mentor Gary Barlow, he wrote: “That awkward moment when you've already been told something and have to pretend you don't know and are hearing it for the first time.”
The comment caused a frenzy amongst his fans, who jumped to the conclusion he knew about the results.
One person asked: “Wait...you guys know who's gonna win beforehand?!?!”
Another remarked: “Thats crazy yous new before hand.”
While someone else questioned: “Is that him admitting the show is fake?”
Marcus has since denied that he was suggesting anything and told fans: "My reaction watching the foolishness that's come off the back of one meme I posted this week! It's just a funny meme someone sent me. you've taken it too far."
It’s not the first time the show has been rocked by fix rumours.
Already this year it has emerged that Four Of Diamonds were formed in an ‘X Factor workshop’ after being ‘spotted by Sony’.
The Sun Online revealed that member Yasmin Lauryn also revealed online that she had been spotted by record label Sony – which has close ties to Simon Cowell’s label Syco.
This series has featured a string of familiar faces, both of people who have progressed reasonably far in the competition before, or who can be linked to Simon Cowell's Syco label or his other show, Britain's Got Talent.

Hopeful Sohelia Clifford was also revealed as once being part of a Sony-signed girlband.
