SUSANNA Reid was forced to apologise on today's Good Morning Britain after potty-mouthed X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne swore live on air.
The 64-year-old judge, who has rarely been one to mince her words, was trying to be on her best behaviour as she made an appearance following this weekend's X Factor live shows.
By the end of the fifteen minute interview, the star had been grilled on her memory loss over the name of Saara Aalto, her relationship with hubby Ozzy Osbourne and was made to address the rumours she had been drinking on the judges panel.
On her memory loss, Susanna said: "Do you put it down to blanking? Or do you, because you would've seen Twitter I'm sure, people asking if there's something stronger in those tumblers than just water or if you're, I don't know, doing anything else?"
Sharon then quickly looked offended while Piers exclaimed in shock at the accusation.
Jumping to Sharon's defence, Piers chastised his co-host and said: "What? What is that allegation?!"
The X Factor judge then said: "Sexual?!"
Susanna was then forced to correct herself before adding: "No! People are wondering whether you are travelling a lot, you're tired..."
Sharon then sighed before exclaiming: "Oh bloody hell!"
Susanna then chastised Sharon for her language and told her: "Excuse your language!"
Meanwhile, Piers got the giggles between the warring women and watched the drama unfold in front of him.
Sharon then clarified: "I've been travelling my whole life, I've been in the industry my whole life, I must've been on over 50 tours in my life. Travelling is nothing to me.
"People look at it and go "oh that's such a big thing" - it's no biggie to me."
Confronting the awkward moment she forgot Saara Aalto's name, she said: "As far as names I am the worst in the world. And my head was totally in another country. I think I was in Lapland actually!
"It's just me. I'm a bit dotty. But drinking? No thank you."
She later turned to the camera and said: "Listen you trolls on twitter. i have seen too many careers destroyed, families destroyed from alcohol. This missus ain't going there!"
