JUST COLLECT THEM ALREADY!

EastEnders fans have had enough as they slam show bosses over the ongoing bins collection storyline

Fans of the show are sick and tired of hearing the characters going on about it

IT started about a month ago when the residents of Albert Square started moaning about Walford Council’s new bin collection schedule.

But EastEnders fans have said enough is enough after more characters started moaning about it on tonight’s episode.

In a scene early on in the episode, Billy Mitchell, played by Perry Fenwick, is seen dashing for work but steps in a pile of rubbish that

Then his wife Honey Mitchell, played by Emma Barton, starts talking about the ongoing bin issue with Denise Fox and Jack Branning, who asks if the council have sorted it out yet.

She sighs and says, “There are bin bags all over the place. And the foxes have been at them. Litter everywhere.”

But fans of the soap have now had enough of the ongoing ‘BinGate’ storyline – which began back in September – and took to Twitter to slam bosses and scriptwriters.

One wrote, “How much longer is #Bingate going to go on for?!” while another added: “Rinsing this bin storyline is showing a lack of creativity with the EastEnders scriptwriters right now.”

Another joked: “If I hear another bloody character on Eastenders go on about these bins, I'm blowing my brains out.”

And two others even suggested, and hoped, it might be leading up to a rather murderous storyline.

One wrote, “I do hope this stupid dustbin storyline leads up to something exciting... 'cos it's getting real dull at the moment.”

And the other added: “All these references to the bins. Someone is going to perish amongst them, aren't they?”

The storyline began last month when Lauren Branning ranted to Whitney Dean: “I know this sounds really bad but sometimes I feel like this house is just full of dirty nappies and incontinence pads and stuffy rooms and bleach up my nose.

"Who knows what it's going to be like when they're only doing the bins every other week?"

The reference appeared to be a nod to recent bin collection changes in London from once a week to once a fortnight.
