FOOTBALL legend Alan Shearer has showed off his impressive physique while on holiday with his family in Barbados.

The former England striker, 46, looked to have rolled back the years as he took a stroll along the beach.

Shearer was joined by his daughter Chloe on  break in one of the family's favourite destinations.

Match of the Day pundit Shearer, who has three children with wife Lainya, was staying at the exclusive Sandy Lane Resort, a favourite hot spot for many celebrities.

Wearing navy trunks and wayfarer sunglasses Alan swam out to a barge reserved for hotel guests.

Last month a new statue of the Newcastle legend was unveiled and Geordie icon Alan proudly took to social media to thank his fans.

On Twitter, he said: “Honoured to have my statue unveiled today in Newcastle. Thanks to everyone for their support during my career.”

But social media users were convinced that the £250,000 bronze statue actually appeared to be memorialising TV star Dale Winton.

One reply read: “Alan, you deserve a statue – just not that one. It’s the worst I’ve seen. Looks more like Dale Winton.”

Another agreed: “Anyone else think the new Shearer statue looks like Dale Winton?”
