Judge Rinder warns of second Strictly Come Dancing curse as he is terrified of performing last

JUDGE Rinder has warned of a second Strictly curse amid fears the contestants at the bottom of the running order are more likely to get the boot.

The TV star is among the celebrities taking part in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, and he is worried that landing a late slot will get him eliminated.

The dance show contestant,  real name Robert Rinder, has opened up about his fears that being given a late placing in the running order will spell doom for his Strictly run.

He is convinced many contestants crack under the pressure of performing later in the night, and cites unlucky "13" as the worst slot.

During an appearance on BBC Breakfast, he chatted about his worries to eliminated Naga Munchetty, who is back in her day job after her Strictly exit.

Judge Rinder revealed the biggest competition the contestants face is themselves as nerves can land them low scores.

He said: "The real competition is between your demons and yourself... I feel really strongly about that.

"One of the struggles I have is the longer the show goes on, the further you are down the list to go on, if you are number 13, by the time you sort of end up standing there and they're announcing your name..."

"I have exhausted myself being terrified, convincing myself it's all going to go horribly wrong."

Judge Rinder performed in 10th place during last weekend's live show, but Naga, who was sixth, was eliminated.

However, previous last place contender Will Young later bailed out of the show - quitting for "personal reasons".
