Scottish Geordie Shore cast member who was edited out of show is revealed
She's blonde, she's called Marie and by all accounts she made absolutely no impression on the MTV reality show
There's a secret Geordie Shore cast member you've never heard of.
Five years ago when the show first began, producers decided to add a non-Geordie to the cast for the Magaluf Madness special, in the form of a stunning blonde Scottish woman called Marie.
Joining the likes of Charlotte Crosby, Vicky Pattison, Gaz Beadle, James Tindale, Holly Hagan, Sophie Kasaei, Jay Gardner and Greg Lake, she was meant to mix things up for the two episode special in August 2011.
Unfortunately, she didn't really work out and was axed and then edited out by producers, but hints of her still remain to this day.
In one episode she's seen trying to get off with Gaz, much to the annoyance of Charlotte, leading to a row Vicky and James having a minor - by Geordie Shore standards - bust up about her.
Vicky Pattison, then queen of the house, said at the time: "She's just a random girl. She has no purpose."
But James defended her, saying: "I think she's a nice lass. She's done nothing wrong to me."
Pictures of Marie still exist, with her engaged in a kiss with Holly Hagan, joining the others on a bar crawl
Vicky actually revealed the existence of Marie in her 2014, autobiography, writing: "What a lot of people don't know is that a new cast member was brought in in the shape of a Scottish girl called Marie.
"She had long blonde hair, a great body and no personality. She was about as much fun as earache.
"I suspect [producers] thought she may ruffle a few feathers, but she failed to cause even a ripple because she was so dull she was totally edited out."
Sophie Kasaei also once tweeted the truth, writing: "OMG just remembered when we filmed gshore in magaluf we actually had a new cast member but they edited her out I wanna see her again #Marie."
MTV had no comment to make.
