KANYE West has insisted he'll "love Kim Kardashian for life" and only considers them divorced "on paper".
The rapper, 45, made the revelations on Piers Morgan Uncensored in an exclusive interview where he was also grilled about his recent anti-Semitic tweets.
Piers, 57, asked Kanye - now known as Ye - if he's sad he and Kim are no longer together, after the reality star filed for divorce in February 2021 following six years of marriage.
Kanye replied: "I may be divorced on paper but I'm not divorced of the idea of being the protector.
"Her name is no longer West. And my name is now only Ye. If we were ever to be together again, what would our name be? Kimye?"
When Piers asked if he still loves Kim, Kanye said: "I will love her for life, and oddly enough I will protect her."

Things also got personal as Kanye asked: "Piers, how much money are you worth?"
"Not as much as you, unfortunately," Piers admitted.
Kanye hit back: "Exactly, so take my advice and maybe you'll get richer. Why would I listen to you?"

Refusing to back down, Piers replied: "I'm not a 'Karen' and I'm not going to cancel or censor you.
"I'm simply going to challenge you and say I don't think you realise the pain you've caused with some of these comments."
