Charlotte Crosby and Celebrity Big Brother winner Stephen Bear to host rival Tattoo Fixers show
The series is set to air on MTV
MTV is launching its own rival tattoo series to hit Channel 4 show Tattoo Fixers – and have signed Charlotte Crosby and Celebrity Big Brother champ Stephen Bear as hosts.
The stars will interview couples agreeing to have tattoos designed by their other halves, with the condition being they’ll only be shown inkings once they’ve been permanently inked on their body.
An insider revealed: “Tattoo shows are bang on trend right now and MTV decided to jump on the bandwagon.
“The couples will design each other a tat and their lovers won’t see what they’ve come up with until it’s inked on their body.
“There’s no denying it could go either way and the permanent reminder could reduce participants to tears for a variety of reasons - the good, the bad and the ugly.”
And show producers are hoping Charlotte and Bear, both 26, are going to be the perfect presenting dream team for the show which promises to have drama and a lot of tears.
This will be Charlotte’s main hosting role since quitting Geordie Shore earlier this year after ex-boyfriend Gaz Beadle cheated on Ex on the Beach.
Similarly, Ex on the Beach star Bear managed to scoop the role after being crowned Celebrity Big Brother champ last series.
An insider added: “Charlotte was an obvious choice, she’s partial to a tattoo herself and after all the work she’s had done on herself isn’t freaked out by the sight of needles and a bit of pain.
“Her and Stephen are good friends already and this is a great opportunity for him too.”
The new show is set to be screened on MTV in the New Year and is yet to be given a title.
Charlotte will be hoping that Bear won’t be bringing his heavily-inked rumoured girlfriend Jemma Lucy onto the show – as Charlotte blames Jemma for her split with Geordie Shore co-star Gaz Beadle.
Charlotte’s love rival Jemma bedded Gaz during last series of Ex on the Beach while Charlotte suffered an ectopic pregnancy with Gaz’s baby.
And Charlotte later infuriated Jemma by “stealing” her ex-boyfriend David Hawley after the pair were seen snogging the hunk in Newcastle.
With Jemma’s love of tattoos, it seems unlikely that Bear will be able to avoid bringing Jemma onto the show.
An MTV spokesman declined to comment.
