Towie’s Megan McKenna and Pete Wicks go on make or break spa weekend at Champney’s after sexting scandal split
Pete looked nervous as his scorned ex-girlfriend appeared willing to give him another chance
TOWIE star Pete Wicks looks like he may have won back Megan McKenna after the pair were seen heading into a spa resort for time alone.
The Essex ‘pirate‘ split from his other half Megan after she discovered that he had been texting other women behind her back.
Megan split with Pete in Marbella after The Sun exclusively revealed Jacqui Ryland had been recieving messages from the lothario while they were away.
In epic scenes that played out in front of the ITVBe cameras, Megan laid into Pete for his lies before storming off and refusing to speak to him.
Distraught Megan has been avoiding him ever since, despite Pete appearing at her house and vowing to win her back and promising that despite the messages, he had never cheated on her.
Last week during filming, Pete seemed to be winning her back after she was pictured beaming as she spoke to him – fuelling speculation their romance wasn’t over for good.
Now, after weeks of working to get her back on side, it appears Pete’s efforts may have paid off in some way and the pair were spotted heading into Champney’s Health Resort in London, away from the cameras, in order to spend the weekend together.
Since Pete’s indiscretions came to light, Megan has been on a mission to make herself over, sporting a sassy new look and spending time with her gal pals – including Lauren Goodger, who has just come back to the show.
Following the revelations, Pete poured his feelings out to James Locke.
When quizzed about why he even bothered to message Jacqui Ryland in the first place and caused the trouble, he admitted: “I wish there was a reason for it but there isn’t I’ve thrown everything away for nothing.”
He added: “I never felt like I deserved her from the beginning. Even before the messages I was moody with her, I was snapping at her, I was pushing her away anyway.
“Any time I get close to people, I do it to my mum, I hit self destruct, I want to ruin it before…if she f***ed me over I don’t know how I would have dealt with it.”
He then wept as he admitted: “Everyone told me to stay away from her but everyone was wrong, it was her that should have stayed away from me. I’ve broke her heart, it’s killing me.”
Pete was seen talking to Megan in the street a few weeks later, causing another row and leaving him sobbing in the street.
However, despite her parents both coming to her defence, with her mum epically telling Pete to ‘jog on‘ in the last episode, Megan revealed to the Sun Online that she did still love the tattooed hunk.
She told us: “It’s weird as I still love him but I’m not with him. Of course I still love him, I can’t turn it off.”
She added: “I was in a relationship for nearly three years before I was on TV and that boy broke my heart and my trust and Pete knows – that’s why I’m so upset.
“Pete knows I can’t trust boys and then he goes and does that.
“I let my ex boyfriend get away with it for years.
“He made me lose my confidence, I wasn’t the same person but then I got it all back, I’m doing well in my career, I’m on telly, and I’ve got such a nice boyfriend but now I feel like I’ve gone back to how I was a few years ago.”
