X FACTOR was forced to apologise on Sunday night after Gifty Louise accidentally swore during the live show.

As presenter Dermot O’Leary revealed Sam Lavery was the first act saved from the public vote – Gifty could be heard shouting “f***ing told you.”

After revealing the fate of all the other contestants, Dermot was forced to issue an apology.

He said: “You may have just heard some inappropriate language, we deeply apologise.

“As you can imagine tensions are high.”
