Mel B brings out the Scary Spice as she storms off TV show after being quizzed about her ‘feud’ with Iggy Azalea
The pop star walked off in mock horror after her hosts kept going on about it
MEL B brought out her Scary Spice this weekend as she stormed off Australian TV after being quizzed about her relationship with Iggy Azalea.
The pop star was a guest on Channel 7’s Sunrise programme to talk about her return to The X Factor Australia as one of the judges.
At first, Mel, 41, laughed it off when presenter Natalie Barr asked her if she thought judge Iggy Azalea might feel threatened by Mel being brought back to the show.
Mel smiled and said: “Oh god no! She’s got a massive career, she’s highly, highly successful and we get on. I know you’re trying to get some rivalry between me and Iggy but there isn’t any.”
But then she started to get quite annoyed with the constant questioning about their relationship after the show came back from the break and host David Koch told viewers to tune into the X Factor and added about Mel: “How will she and Iggy get on?”
Mel then got up from the sofa and in mock horror said: “Oh god, I’m leaving! What is all this?”
She then threw her hands up to the camera and said: “We get on fine, by the way,” as the presenters and crew fell about laughing.
Earlier in the interview, Koch also suggested that Azalea would be a good addition to the Spice Girls to which she replied: “There’s only five Spice Girls in the whole entire world, and that’s it, so ZIP IT.”
She was also asked about the Spice Girls reunion and after revealing she was “so bored” of talking about it, she added: “Until we’ve got something to announce, it’s the same old, same old. We are looking to do something, it’s just a case of when.”
The Spice Girl was recently unveiled as the mystery fourth judge on The X Factor Australia and is set to mentor the ‘underdog’ group – contestants the other judges said no to.
She will join singers Iggy Azalea, Adam Lambert and Guy Sebastian later this month when the show reaches its live shows stage.
And Guy said he is expecting fireworks when she returns, particularly between her and Iggy.
Speaking exclusively to the Sun Online, he added: “I love Mel, she’s full on, she just says it as it is.
“Sometimes in Australia we are a bit too nice. But Mel thinks ‘bugger this! It’s Australia I don’t even care what they think.’”
