What’s on Netflix in November? From The Gilmore Girls to Dirty Grandpa, all the new series and films you need to watch this month
AS the winter nights creep in, there's nothing better than to curl up on the sofa with a cup of tea and Netflix.
We have rounded up the best new offerings from Netflix for November.
Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life
When is it on? The relaunch of the series starts on November 24.
What season are we up to? This will be the eighth season of the show, ten years after season 7 aired.
Who's in it? All the old favourites are back; Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Melissa McCarthy, Milo Ventimiglia and Matt Czuchry. A notable absence will be Edward Herrmann, who passed away in 2014. The actor’s death will be addressed in the show, as the characters deal with the passing of Richard Gilmore.
What's it about? The rebooted series will take us back to Stars Hollow to catch up with our favourite Gilmores.
Netflix has been doing it's best to keep the story under wraps and the only information that has been released is that “three generations of Gilmore women grapple with change and the complicated bonds of family during one year in Stars Hollow”.
Rory's love life is much speculated upon as all three of her ex boyfriends will appear during the show.
The Crown
When is it on? The series kicks off on November 4.
Who's in it? Claire Foy and Matt Smith take the lead roles of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip. John Lithgow, Greg Wise, Dame Eileen Atkins and Rosalind Knight will also be appearing.
What's it about? The series will will trace the life of the Queen from her wedding in 1947 to the present day. It is expected to span 60 episodes over six seasons.
Elizabethtown
When is it on? It will be on Netflix on November 23.
Who's in it? Orlando Bloom, Kirsten Dunst, Susan Sarandon and Alec Baldwin star in this American romantic tragicomedy.
What's it about? When coming home to Elizabethtown for a memorial service after the death of his father, Drew befriends Claire the air-hostess on his flight. During the stay with his family, he rediscovers what is important about life, and falls in love with Claire.
Chelsea
When is it on? Netflix's first chat show goes live on November 17.
Who's in it? The show is hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler and she interviews a range of celebrity guests, including Chris Martin, Drew Barrymore, Gwen Stefani, Ashton Kutcher, Anna Kendrick and Melissa McCarthy.
What's it about? The show covers "real topics" but with Chelsea's famous sense of humour. As the show is streamed world, it has a global outlook.
Chelsea said: "Netflix makes me able to do stories that are global, and it makes me able to pay attention to the stuff that does interest me in a way that will be able to be disseminated into all these different countries."
The show is filmed in front of a live audience, and Chelsea has expressed that she hopes the show is different from typical late-night chat shows.
David Blaine: Real or Magic?
When is it on? The show comes to Netflix on November 1.
Who's in it? David Blaine performs magic for a range of celebrities including Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.
What's it about? Over 90 minutes, David performs a series of mind bending illusions for celebs and passers-by.
The show heralded a return to close magic, after a series of big stunts for the magician - when he spent 40 days and nights in a glass box suspended over the Thames.
Dirty Grandpa
When is it on? The riotous comedy hits screens on November 20.
Who's in it? Zac Efron and Robert De Nero take the lead roles.
What's it about? Zac plays a straight laced young lawyer (Jason) who is about to get married, who reluctantly agrees to drive his grandfather Dick, (De Niro) to Florida. The pair inadvertently end up in the midst of Spring Break.
Jason and Dick reconnect during the trip and learn from each other.
Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde
When is it on? Elle Woods is back on November 30,
Who's in it? Reese Witherspoon steps into those pink fluffy heels for a second time
What's it about? Our favourite lawyer is back - Elle Woods heads to Washington D.C. to join the staff of a congresswoman in order to pass a bill to ban animal testing.
