Strictly Come Dancing’s Greg Rutherford said there’s a lot of love between him and Judge Rinder
The Olympian joked that he had succumbed to the show’s curse backstage with the TV barrister
STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Greg Rutherford has said he has succumbed to the show’s curse – by striking up a bromance with Judge Rinder.
The Olympian was talking about the infamous Curse of Strictly, which sees relationships break down off-screen as celebrities and their partners get a little too close.
But the 29-year-old athlete said it’s not something that is going to affect him, unless you count the spark between him and the TV barrister.
Speaking to Metro, the gold medallist said: “The only Strictly curse that has been happening is the romance between me and Rob [Judge Rinder]. There's a lot of male love going on."
Greg is happily loved-up with partner Susie Verrill and they have a two-year-old son called Milo.
And he said the way they shrug off the curse is to double date.
He added: “We all get on very well. Me, Natalie, James (her fiancé), we all go for dinner together.
“I didn’t come into Strictly looking for a girlfriend. For some, maybe – not for us.
“I’ve got someone and I’m very happy where I am.”

Even his girlfriend laughed off the curse recently when she took to Twitter to joke about her concerns.
"After last night, I'm now concerned about the Strictly curse. Concerned in the way that I fancy @RealNatalieLowe more than @GregJRutherford."
Her boyfriend retweeted her comment with a few crying laughing emojis while Natalie couldn't help but be flattered by the remark.
The blonde Aussie dancer wrote: "That tweet's made my day, love you too @susiejverrill".
