Louisa Johnson defends Sharon Osbourne after X Factor judge FORGETS her act’s name live on air
The red-head made the blunder when it came to introducing her Overs singer, Saara Aalto
LOUISA Johnson has laughed off Sharon Osbourne’s live X Factor error, insisting it was her “favourite” moment of the series so far.
The singer, 18, who won the talent show last year, jumped to the 64-year-old judge's defence after she apparently forgot the name of her own act last week.
Sharon was seen frantically turning to her fellow judges for help, asking “what’s her name” before Louis shouted ”FINLAND” and she finally managed to introduce Saara Aalto to the stage.
However, while many fans expressed concerns over the mistake, Louisa has insisted it was “hilarious” and her favourite moment so far.
“I loved this moment, it was probably my favourite. I just thought it was hilarious. She looked so awkward, bless her,” she told us.
“It does get tricky on live TV, things go wrong, but honestly this was one of my favourites.”
However the blonde beauty did admit: “If Rita forgot my name I’d be upset.”
Rita Ora was Louisa’s mentor during her time on the show last year, and asked if they’re still in touch, she added: “We text quite a bit and we’re always trying to catch each other, but she’s so busy and so am I. It’s hard to get that time.
“I hope to show her some of my music if we get some time together.”
Elsewhere, Louisa heaped praise on Nicole Scherzinger for her performance over the weekend – which saw her steal the mic at the start of Saturday night’s show.
“I love Nicole and I thought that moment was so her, she’s so funny, I thought it was wicked”, she said.
"She’s such a diva but she’s so amazing as well, so it worked out well for her. She looks amazing.”
Louisa added: “I’m really happy she’s back as a judge, she brings so much life back to the panel.
She’s such good entertainment, she looks good and she sounds good. She’s a great mentor and it looks like she works hard with everyone.
“I would have loved to have had her as a mentor. If I’d been on the show this year I’d definitely have picked her.”
Revealing her favourite acts of the series, Louisa praised 5 After Midnight and Sam Lavery, but failed to mention the most controversial act of the series, Honey G.
