James Arthur heads to Hollywood to launch acting career following comeback success

The X Factor star has revealed his plans to make it big in the US

JAMES ARTHUR has been through enough drama in his life to make a Hollywood biopic.

And after capping off his comeback with a No1 single, that’s exactly where he is headed.

Not content with his chart success, James has revealed he is now pursuing a serious acting career.

He has already ordered his management to find him his first role and having his tattoos removed to help his cause.

In an exclusive interview, he said: “I want to become a Hollywood film star. I genuinely would love to be in some movies. I am a massive film geek and I love movies.

“I have been through, and seen so many dramas and traumas, and been in so many situations that I can probably interpret a few different characters.

“I am even trying to remove some tattoos so I am not type-casted.

James has been inspired to be an actor thanks to actors such as Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy

“I have been banging on about it to my management for ages. I will always make music, but I really want to kick off my acting career.

“My favourite actors are CILLIAN MURPHY and TOM HARDY. I love SHANE MEADOWS’ work. I come from that working-class place so I think I would be good at that.”

It’s not just Tinseltown on James’ agenda — he has the whole of America in his sights.

The former X Factor winner, whose new album Back From The Edge is out tomorrow, is heading to the States soon to capitalise on the success of song Say You Won’t Let Go.

He said: “I feel like a kid at Christmas to think that I could have a hit in the USA.

“I’m signed to Columbia out there and am going out to do promo. I’m going to attack America.”
