First details of Celebrity Big Brother’s All-Star series revealed ahead of January launch

Ahead of its launch in January it has been revealed that the series will be reduced from its usual length by one week

CELEBRITY Big Brother’s upcoming All-Star series is set to be cut to just 24 days.

Ahead of its launch in January, where former housemates will return to the Channel 5 compound, it has been revealed that the series will be reduced from its usual length by one week.

The guide, posted by Channel 5’s sales department for partnership deals, stated the show will run for “24 days in January.”

It also said: “Celebrity Big Brother is viewed as the original and best reality show (vs competitors) with loyal followers who tune in year after year.”

Celebrity Big Brother first launched in 2001 with housemates moving into their new home for just eight days.

As the show has grew in popularity – as has the length of each series.

Last January's offering, which was won by Geordie Shore star Scotty T, lasted a record breaking 36 days.

The Sun Online first revealed Channel 5’s plans for the All-Star special spin off series in August.

Bosses are aiming to bring back some of the most controversial former housemates ahead of the shows 20th series.

A CBB source told us: “Bringing back the celebs they know will cause the drama would result in the most explosive series so far.
