Four of Diamonds ‘almost turned down second X Factor chance as they don’t trust Louis’

FOUR of Diamonds almost turned down the chance to return to this year's X Factor - as it's claimed they don't trust their mentor Louis Walsh.
The girl group made a surprise comeback to the talent show in Week 2 of the live shows, after duo Brooks Way were forced to pull out amid assault claims.
Now, just days after Simon Cowell warned the band that Louis 'hates girl groups', sources have revealed the girls were "split" over whether to return to the talent show.
A source exclusively told The Sun Online: "When the girls heard the news that Brooks Way had left the show, they all spoke about what they would do if the call came for them to go back on the show - and it was really split.
"They wanted the platform of a massive TV show behind them, but felt a bit embarrassed about coming back by default, especially as the public knew they weren’t weaned by Louis for the shows."
The band, made up of Yasmin, 17, Caroline, 19, Lauren, 21 and Sophia, 19, sailed through their first performance, but found themselves in the bottom two last weekend.
They managed to secure their position after Relley C was voted out, but it's now been revealed they're not happy with their mentor - and would prefer Nicole Scherzinger instead.
Our source added: "They make no secret about wishing they had a different mentor, all of the girls wanted Nicole as she's most experienced in their field, but unfortunately they don't get a say."
In fact the girls very nearly didn’t come back at all, amid worries Louis wouldn’t pay them the attention they deserve.
"They nearly declined the offer to come back, they knew Louis wouldn't push them - he just doesn't care,” our source told us.
"Sophia is the most annoyed about it, she's getting really frustrated with the way Louis talks to them, telling them they need to work harder when he's not doing much to support them."
While Nicole has got the Boys category this year, the girls, alongside 5 After Midnight, have Louis.
"She [Nicole] works really hard with her contestants and really pushes them to be their best - Louis just turns up, goes through the motions and then criticises them,” our source claimed.
"The friends and family really mingle backstage but there is a clear divide on whether the girls should have come back or not, all the mothers collectively agree that they should have declined the opportunity to come back and then reapplied next year in the hope they would get a better mentor."
