X Factor star Honey G made appears to be a bit confused about the meaning of the phrase ad-lib after making this embarrassing blunder.

Speaking to the camera before her performance of Will Smith’s Men In Black, Honey told the camera she'd been learning her ad-libs.

Fans of The X Factor were quick to pick up her mistake.

One viewer tweeted: “When you have to ‘learn an ad lib’ then it's not an ad lib. Duh! #HoneyG #XFactor

Another tweeted: “Learning all the ad-libs. That's literally the opposite of an ad-lib.”

A third wrote: “If you've got to learn it in advance, it's not a f*****g ad-lib, is it? Daft cow.”

Others questioned whether the North Wheezy rapper even knew what she was talking about.

One said: “’Learning my ad-libs’ ummmm you do know what an ad-lib is don't you Honey...?”

Earlier this week Honey G was forced to hit back at her critics this week and claimed people were using the “race card” against her.

The wannabe – real name Anna Gilford – has been accused of being fake and she has sparked a racism row after appearing to mock black music with her act.

But as she enters the next stage of the show, the controversial 35-year-old has blasted her doubters, branding the claims as ‘ridiculous’.

Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “I think people are discriminating against me, they are using the race card against me.

“I feel like they are discriminating against me because I am white. It makes me question whether they have a problem with someone rapping who is white.

“I’m not the only white person in the world who likes black music. There’s no evidence, proof or truth that I am a racist.”

Honey's retort comes after Simon Cowell’s close friend Sinitta became the latest person to suggest she is fake.

Speaking to The Huffington Post, Sinitta stated: “Her mother has a middle class, English accent, she’s very pretty. She’s not at all ghetto, she doesn’t say ‘yo’ and ‘what’s up’ and everything. So I don’t know how Honey G has developed all these traits.”

She continued: “I think she’s faking it, but I think she believes it. I think she has reinvented herself as a black American ghetto rapper.”

Prior to Sinitta's comments, X Factor stars Little Mix also admitted they believed Honey G was playing a prank on the nation.

Speaking to The Sun, Jade stressed: “I think it’s a joke. I don’t believe she’s real. She’s blatantly an actress. Let’s just say, I’ve heard she’s an actress.”

Jesy went on to repeat the same thoughts to Kiss FM, as she said: “She’s just no. I think she’s an actress, I’ve been told she is as well.”

But despite the former IT recruitment consultant from Harrow, North-West London, being labelled a joke she has managed to gain some surprise fans after likes of rappers Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent gave their public backing for the aspiring rap star.

And her army of fans have been getting behind her on the ITV show each weekend - ensuring she stays in the competition.
