Bianca Gascoigne celebrates 30th birthday in style… days after revealing death fears
Star was left struggling to breath due to horrifying illness
BIANCA Gascoigne has been pictured celebrating her 30th birthday - just days after revealing all about the horrifying illness she feared would kill her.
The star looked sensational in a green leather mini-skirt, black top and green suede jacket as she headed out with friends to enjoy her big milestone.
With her long blonde hair styled in loose waves around her shoulders, the former step-daughter of footballer Paul Gascoigne grinned broadly as she carried along two big silver balloons spelling out her age.
While Bianca looked happy and healthy, with her long tanned legs also on display, she recently revealed to The Sun Online in an exclusive interview she feared she would never make it to her thirties after being struck down by a rare illness.
After initially being told she had tonsillitis, her breathing became more and more laboured and her throat closed up, leading her to be rushed to hospital, where she was diagnosed with quinsy.
The condition left Bianca in hospital for the next eight days vomiting up pus as she tried to get better.
Speaking on Friday, she said: "It all started Saturday after work – I went to A& E because my throat just absolutely was killing me.
“They treated it and said it tonsillitis and gave me antibiotics but the come Monday I couldn’t breathe and I couldn’t even swallow. It was awful, I felt like I was suffocating.
“I went back to A & E because when I opened my throat I couldn’t see a hole. They told me that’s quinsy straight away.”

However despite finally getting a diagnosis, it took some time for her to feel vaguely back to normal – and the worst was yet to come.
She said: "It wasn’t getting better for ages, they were giving me intravenous, antibiotics and then finally it started going down.
“But the worst part about it that will haunt me forever – where it was such a bad infection - I was bringing up this horrible, horrible puss. It was horrendous.”
She continued: “With quinsy they say it can be fatal because it’s poison in your throat and if they don’t catch it soon enough – if you swallow the poison, it is really, really serious.
"When it popped in my mouth I thought I was going to die from the poison. This was at about 2am so we had to ring the surgeon to see if I was going to be alright. It was the worst thing I have ever been through.”
Being struck down so close to her 30th birthday meant Bianca had to cancel her plans for a big celebratory bash, choosing to have a low-key affair instead.
She added: "I can’t even have a drink - everyone knows I like a little drink.
"I had a massive, massive party planned at Gaslight, my club but I’ve had to cancel."
