THE season seven premiere of The Walking Dead was perhaps one of the most talked about TV openers of the year.

Viewers were left outraged by the shocking violence but at the same time were desperate for more - despite the gore.

However last night, the buzz was well and truly over as the second episode aired in the US – ahead of being shown in the UK this evening.

Feeling well and truly underwhelmed following the excitement of the previous week, fans of the show took to Twitter to express their opinion.

“This episode of the walking dead is boring me rn,” wrote one viewer.

While another remarked: “The walking dead always has a wicked boring episode the week after a crazy one.”

And someone else commented: “This is the most boring episode of The Walking Dead ever. Which was expected after last week. No way last week's premiere could be topped.”

Others were rather dramatic about it, with one person claiming: “Okay honestly this episode of the walking dead is so stoooopid and boring it makes me want to throw myself off of a bridge.”

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the second episode of The Walking Dead season seven.

During the episode Ezekiel and his tiger Shiva finally make their debut - as they meet Carol Peletier and Morgan Jones (find out more about them and other characters  here).

But unfortunately viewers weren't really that bothered by their arrival and instead wanted to know how Rick Grimes and the Alexandrians felt following the dramatic death of their friends.

"Hate watching the walking dead and they haven't shown my baby Rick yet 😪," tweeted one fan.

And some else wrote: "Tonights episode of the walking dead wasn't what i expected at all Hopefully next week we'll know Whats going on with Rick & the group #TWD."

Throughout the episode, further details of Ezekiel's Kingdom and how he came to lead the community were revealed.

Ezekiel's Kingdom also has a deal going on with the Saviors in which they need to provide them with supplies and/or food.

Ezekeil become a great asset and ally to Rick and the Alexandrians down the line which is strongly hinted throughout the episode.
