THIS is the moment Justin Bieber tucked into a very Scottish delicacy - deep fried haggis - during his stay in Glasgow.
Yesterday The Sun revealed that the pop star – who is worth more than £160million – had ditched a fancy dinner in favour of a visit to the local chippy on Saturday night… and now we’ve got the pictures.
The pop star, who played three shows in the city, was clearly ravenous as he couldn’t wait to the tasty grub down him and started tucking in while still at the counter.
Earlier in the 22-year-old had stunned revellers out in the city by roaming the streets, stopping off for a quick cocktail in trendy Blue Dog bar.
However, it wasn’t the glitzy night most celebs would opt for as he later shunned the mainstream nightspots in favour of a string of off the beaten track locals pubs.
A source said: “The pubs he went to were mostly filled with older people who had no idea who he was.
“A few people recognised him and asked him for photos, which he declined, but the majority were oblivious that Justin and his crew were knocking back drinks alongside them.
“He wanted a more real experience of the city, and after asking for some advice thought some pubs and a chippy dinner would be the way to do that.”
And at the end of the night, he visited Blue Lagoon chip shop where he forked out £20 on food — including deep-fried haggis and chips.
Owner Simone Varese said: “We are very privileged he chose us to have his Saturday night feast.
“Justin came in with a cap on and two bouncers with him. He was in good spirits and very excited about trying the local cuisine.”
Since arriving in the UK three weeks ago, Justin has enjoyed pub grub at an Essex puband partied at a student night in Manchester.
He had reason to celebrate on Saturday though, when he commended Scottish fans after his show.
In a since-deleted post on Twitter, he wrote: “I just appreciate you guys tonight, listening to me and understanding, and rocking with me. You guys are truly amazing.”
Perhaps some deep-fried grub and some mushy peas was all Justin needed to cheer up.
