Who will be The X Factor 2016 winner? Latest odds and predictions ahead of the final showdown
Matt Terry is the bookies’ favourites to be this year’s victors
THERE are still six more weeks of this year’s X Factor to go before the final, but bookies are already predicting which one of the remaining acts will be crowned the winner.
And despite some shock eliminations and fixing allegations surrounding the show, three acts are in the running to battle it out to become 2016’s victor.
Who are the favourites?
Matt Terry, Emily Middlemas, 5 After Midnight and Saara Aalto are the remaining four in the competition.
Neither Matt Terry or Emily Middlemas have faced the dreaded sing-off and sail through each weekend with full fan support after stunning performances.
Saara Aalto has won over British fans and become even more popular than 5 After Midnight who sang in their first sing off this weekend.
But with two weeks left, it's all to play for.
What are their odds?
Name Matt Terry
Age 23
Odds to win 4/6 (Sun Bets) 8/11 (William Hill)
Performance so far The waiter from Bromley who is being mentored by Nicole Scherzinger has yet to find himself in the bottom two to face the sing-off.
This weekend his version of Sia's I'm Alive wowed the judges and fans alike, and he is the bookies’ favourite - at this stage - to win.
William Hill spokesman Rupert Hill said: “Matt Terry is the standout and on paper he looks very hard to beat – that said he seems to be getting a little cocky and viewers might not continue to vote for him on the key night.”
Sun Bets Spokesman Tim Reynolds added: “We remain convinced that X Factor big wigs want Matt to win. Matt is our 4/6 favourite to win the show, and we can only one potential challenger for his victory- Emily!
Name Emily Middlemas
Age 17
Odds to win 6/1 (Sun Bets), 7/1 (William Hill)
Performance so far The Scottish teenager, like Matt, has not found herself in the bottom two and this weekend, any critics she had were silenced with her brilliant song choice for the Halloween special.
Emily, who is being mentored by Simon Cowell, is currently the bookies’ second choice to win.
Sun Bets Spokesman Tim Reynolds comments: “It’s unlikely, but if Emily wows in the final like she did when singing It Must Have Been Love she could nick it.
"She’ll need a big patriotic Scottish vote to get her into the final, but she could take on Sheeran’s song like no one else. She’s 6/1 to beat odds-on shot Matt.”
Name 5 After Midnight aka Kieran Alleyne, Nathan Lewis and Jordan Lee
Ages 20-23
Odds to win 8/1 (Sun Bets), 8/1 (William Hill)
Performance so far These three lads who are being mentored by Louis Walsh, have already built up a huge fan base and won over the judges and audiences alike with their amazing singing and slick dance moves.
They are third favourites to win and although Little Mix are the only band to win the show in its history, 5 After Midnight could be the second.
Name Saara Aalto
Age 29
Odds to win 3/1 (Sun Bets) 2/1 (William Hill)
Performance so far Despite being in the sing-off three times, Saara Alto has bounced back and become a fan favourite.
During the first couple of weeks of live shows, it seemed like she would be one of the first to go as she struggled to connect with the British audience.
But how things have changed - Over the weeks Saara's won the nation over, and is now seemingly even more popular than 5 After Midnight, who hadn't been in the bottom two until tonight.
Who will be eliminated this weekend?
With Matt Terry still the favourite to win, % After Midnight, Saara and Emily could be the ones to make it out before the final.
Sun Bets Spokesman Tim Reynolds comments: “This is the toughest elimination of the series to price up and our odds show that only Matt can be sure he’s on his way to the X Factor final.
"5 After Midnight are the even money favourites but could well get extra special treatment from the X Factor producers to ensure the group gets through.
"Saara has been given all the help possible for the past few weeks- if that continues it looks like Emily at 2/1 could be the value bet for the chop.
“We remain convinced that X Factor big wigs want Matt to win, there’s no way 5 After Midnight or Saara get to Xmas No 1 with an Ed Sheeran song is there?!”
Elimination Odds
Saara Aalto - 3/1 (Sun Bets), 7/2 (Sky Bet)
5 After Midnight - EVENS (Sun Bets), 11/1 (Sky Bet)
Emily Middlemas - 21/1 13/8 (Sky Bet)
Matt Terry - 20/1 (Sun Bets) 16/1 (Sky Bet)
