FURIOUS X Factor viewers took to Twitter tonight to claim they were unable to vote to save their favourite act in the bottom three through the show's app.
As Four of Diamonds, Saara Aalto and Sam Lavery waited to find out if they'd avoid the sing-off, the talent show's official Twitter page announced the Lifeline Vote had closed.
However, many fans quickly claimed they'd been unable to place their votes.
One wrote: "What votes can you verify #XFactor it wouldn't let any of us vote!"
While another added: "'Lifeline vote is now closed' it wasn't working in the first place!"
And one wrote: "The apps not letting me vote, my wifi is fine and even where I use my mobile data it still doesn't work..."
While one added: "When you try and vote on the X Factor app and the apps broke.. good voting there! Now it's closed?!?!?!"
And one wrote: "So basically X factor has just fixed the voting because the app isn't working."
A source close to the show told The Sun: "There were some problems reported during the lifeline vote and X Factor are currently looking into it."
Sam eventually made it through, leaving the girl band to stake on Saara in the latest sing off.
However, it was the end of the road for the four-piece, as Dermot announced Four of Diamonds would be sent home.
The Sun Online has contacted X Factor for comment.
It comes after last night's poptastic girlband vs boyband theme which allowed all the acts to perform songs from the world's best groups.
There are currently six acts remaining in the competition.
Nicole’s boys Matt Terry and Ryan Lawrie, Simon’s girls Emily Middlemas and Sam Lavery, Sharon’s overs Honey G and Saara Aalto and Louis’ group 5 After Midnight.

Meanwhile, it's not the first time the show has been caught in a "fix" storm, and just last night Dermot O'Leary scolded Simon for using the word following Honey G's performance.
The show’s host criticised the music mogul and told him the “f-word” is not mentioned on set after Simon said: “It’s a total fix”.
The spat came shortly after Honey G thrilled the studio audience with her performance of Kris Kross classic Jump.
