Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson will be in the hotseat for Channel 5’s In Therapy
The party-animal is keen to show her 'real' character
GEORDIE Shore’s Marnie Simpson is the first celebrity to sign up for the new series of Channel 5’s In Therapy.
The show will see a string of famous faces undergoing therapy as they give viewers an unprecedented insight into some of their deepest and darkest emotions.
And the feisty brunette, who has had her share of public break-ups and break-downs on the boozy MTV show, is said to be “flattered” to have been invited into the therapists chair for the hit series which
starred Kerry Katona.
A source told The Sun: “Marnie’s got plenty to get off her chest - she’s had a string of ex boyfriends and her boozing has been witnessed by millions on TV but she’s keen to show off the real her.
“She’s aware of the fact she looks like a booze-fuelled man-eater but she’s actually naturally shy and wants to explain that there’s more to her than meets the eye.”
And the effect of trolls on Marnie, 24, is said to be one of the main reasons the telly star is keen to get therapy.
A source added: “She’s been targeted by trolls which has taken its toll on her and a series of break-ups and break-downs during her years on Geordie Shore has also meant that behind the scenes it hasn’t been
very pretty at times.
“She was the first celeb to have been signed up for In Therapy and she’s flattered to have been asked.”
The second series will be broadcast in the New Year – after the first series proved to be a huge success.
The programme was dubbed “raw and honest” after Atomic Kitten singer Kerry, 36, was seen talking about her mum’s suicide bid and her guilt over what she’s put her children through.
Other celebrities who have appeared on In Therapy have been Danniella Westbrook, Gemma Collins and Katie Price.
