Adam Thomas arrives at Brisbane Airport with just five days to go before I’m A Celebrity debut
The Emmerdale actor is going to be trading in the Dales for the Outback for the latest series of the hit ITV reality show
ADAM Thomas is the latest celebrity to arrive in Australia ahead of his appearance on I’m a Celebrity.
The wannabe jungle king is most known for getting his hands dirty on Emmerdale – but is now set to trade in the quiet life on the farm for an adventure in the outback.
Adam, whose brothers are former Corrie star Ryan Thomas and Love Island’s Scott Thomas, will be put to the test against Jordan Banjo, Wayne Bridge, Joel Dommett, Ola Jordan, Larry Lamb, Scarlett Moffatt, Sam Quek, Lisa Snowdon and Carol Vorderman.
The hunk looked chipper and uber cool in all black as he arrived at the airport, and kept it casual in slip-on trainers, trackiers and a hoodie.
Keeping his eyes hidden behind a pair of shades, Adam gave the cameras a thumbs up before being whisked away to the luxury hotel he’ll be spending the next few days in.
He hopes to become the newest addition to jungle royalty after Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison won last year.
Despite being terrified of spiders, Adam has said he is determined to face his fears and rise to the challenge of jungle life.
He revealed: “I tend to run away from them or wake my fiancée up to get rid of them.”
He has even had two sessions of hypnotherapy to calm his nerves ahead of entering the jungle.
The 27-year-old Mancunian will be leaving his two-year-old son behind and says that’s who he’ll miss the most.
There’ll be little chance of any ladies attracting his attention while in the camp, after going officially off the market by proposing to his girlfriend Caroline Daly back in April.
Adam proposed to Caroline, who he has been with for eight years, on a romantic trip to Dubai.
In order to look his best on his wedding day, the star lowered his body fat from 30% to 6% and lost 7 kg after embarking on a gruelling training regime to look good for his upcoming nuptials.
However, as the campers are gearing up for the new series, on Tuesday their camp came dangerously close to being burned to the ground in an enormous bush fire that spread 200 miles.
The camp where the show is filmed was just 40 miles from Springbook National Park where the show is filmed.
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here starts this Sunday on ITV1.
