What this year’s I’m A Celeb stars are being paid… and Carol Vorderman’s got the best numbers
THINGS are really adding up for telly maths whizz Carol Vorderman, as the star is revealed as the highest paid star on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
The 55-year-old mother-of-two is probably the most high profile face in the new series which kicks off on Sunday.
The Sun Online can reveal she's pocketing a massive £200,000 for her stay in the creepy-crawly filled outback.
That's a whopping £50,000 more than former England and Chelsea football player Wayne Bridge, whose payment is based on show bosses hoping he'll break his silence on former team-mate John Terry bedding his ex, model Vanessa Perroncel.
But don't worry about feeling sorry for the other celebrities as even the two soap stars Larry Lamb - who starred in EastEnders and comedy Gavin and Stacey - and Emmerdale hunk Adam Thomas are both well into six figure deals.
A small price to pay, some would say, for the stars to endure the legendary bushtucker trials led by presenters Ant and Dec.

A telly source revealed: “Carol doesn’t need the money so ITV had to come up with something decent because she’s the show’s main focal point at the moment as she is the most recognisable star.
“Going in the jungle won’t hurt her career and so £200,000 is basically free money. Larry and Adam are both on the telly a lot and will be a good draw for soaps fans – especially Adam who will bring in the younger viewers.”
Strictly dancer Ola Jordan has bagged a £90,000 contract for the show and other contestants like Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt, model Lisa Snowdon and Olympic hockey gold medallist Sam Quek will pick up cheques of between £70,000 and £40,000.
But Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo and unknown comedian Joel Dommett make up the numbers on fees of around £25,000.
The source added: “Jordan and Joel are virtual unknowns so the money is low for them but still not a bad pay day and the jungle experience could really boost their careers.”
