Geri Horner and Emma Bunton tease Spice Girls fans as they post picture from inside the studio
The pair getting together with Mel B next summer for a 21st anniversary reunion
SPICE Girls fans have been sent into meltdown after Geri Horner and Emma Bunton uploaded a picture of themselves in the studio.
The snap posted by Geri and then shared by Emma saw the pair wearing oversized hats as the posed next to one another, Geri captioned it: “In studio,oooooh” with the pondering face emoji.
Fans immediately flooded the image with comments such as, “You tease!”, “OMG EXCITED”, and “Come on let’s be having some more music.”
Some even got political and found the posing pair a glimmer of hope in a Trump-jaded world, with comments like, “Not all is lost on a day like today…”
Emma and Geri – who announced she is pregnant last month, are reforming with Mel B to create GEM, and will out on a show next summer.
Victoria Beckham will be relieved to see the pair looking like they’re making new music, as she’s previously said she doesn’t want them to sing Spice Girls tunes for the reunion.
“Of course, as a new group, I do [wish them luck],” she told The Sunday Times.
"I do think they should sing new material, though, because what we did as the Spice Girls was so special. "If they sang Spice Girls songs, I think I might be a bit sad."
Mel, Geri and Emma announced the news they would be reforming back in July, posting a video message to fans.
They said: “You’ve stood by us for 20 years and we want to say a big thank you.
“We’ve had our ups and downs but you have always been there.
We want to celebrate and have a party, and when we do, you’re invited.”
