Tina Hobley wows in LBD at Christmas bash but is STILL using crutches almost a year after her skiing accident on The Jump
The Holby City actress injured her knee, shoulder and arm in the horrific accident
TINA Hobley looked gorgeous in a little black dress as she attended a glam Christmas bash on Wednesday night but the actress is STILL using crutches almost a year after her horrific accident on The Jump.
The Holby City star was pictured leaving the Disney Store's VIP bash in London and looked slightly pained as she leaned on her crutch while making her way out of the venue.
The 45-year-old has admitted the injuries she sustained the Channel 4 show in January have had a “huge impact” on her life.
Tina was one of a number of contestants forced to pull out of this year’s show after her elbow came out of its socket, her arm was broken in two places and she sustained injuries to her shoulder and knee, when she attempted a ski jump that the crew had failed to clear.
Speaking to Hello! she said: “For much of the year I haven’t been able to drive, dress, wash my hair or have a bath unaided.”
“My daughter has had to help me put my clothes on. And for months at a time I haven’t been able to take the kids to school, run errands, or do any of the things I love like yoga, cycling or walking any kind of distance.
“My injuries have had a huge impact on my life and on the family.”
She also revealed how her injuries impacted her career.
“I went back to London after the accident thinking I would only be in plaster for seven weeks but it turns out my injuries were worse than first thought. I had three major traumas,” she said.

“I look at my body in a very different way now. My body is so precious and I wouldn’t put my body or my family through that trauma again.”
She added: “I was gutted because a meeting for my dream job – in the drama series Broadchurch – came up just after the injury.
"I couldn’t make it because I was in plaster. I had been waiting two years for that meeting.”

Appearing on Lorraine, she said: "This year we’ve got them out for a very long period before they start filming."
She added: "There is tonnes of training."
Rushing to defend the show, she told the daytime TV show host: "If you think of the chance of a little sprain in a week’s holiday – they are out there for eight weeks.
"But they’re very brave."

And it comes after Davina teased an all-star line-up for the next series of the show.
She told at the time: “We’ve got an amazing lineup – an unbelievable lineup.
“And no, I can’t tell you, but we have quite a few people set. They’re crazy amazing people – I’m so excited.”
