James recently shared his thoughts on advice from medical professionals about cooking with less salt.

He recently published a cookbook, simply titled: Potato, which was dedicated to the vegetable.

While he was discussing a new sandwich recipe he said that the "world's gone mad".

When he was quizzed on his favourite crisps, he said that his was the Walkers' Salt and Shake variety.

“Remember the ones with the blue salt pouch?” He told The Scotsman.

“Yeah, you certainly used to be able to get those from the tuck shop, with the sachet of salt, but now everyone’s being told to eat less b****y salt, the whole world’s gone mad”.
