Michelle Heaton REPLACES Liz McClarnon on Atomic Kitten tour
The Popstars singer will take on the tour dates abroad because of Liz's fear of flying
LIBERTY X singer Michelle Heaton will become the latest member of Atomic Kitten and REPLACE fans' favourite Liz McClarnon on the international tour.
The Popstars singer revealed her happy news - yet insisted Liz would remain as part of the trio's re-formed line-up for their UK shows, alongside Natasha Hamilton and Kerry Katona.
Michelle found fame with her group - who lost out to winners Hear'Say - on the ITV talent show and said: “I’ve joined long-term but only internationally because Liz hates flying.
“Kerry and Natasha are a bit more wild than I’m used to in Liberty X but I’m crazy too, so it’s perfect."
Talking to, she added: “We’re all mums so when we’re away we let our hair down.
"We don’t get to do that at home.”
The band's world tour kicks off in February.
Yesterday, the original threesome of Kerry, Natasha and Liz were set to perform at the Pig's Nose pub in Devon.
The sugar-sweet pop band, who had three No1 singles in the noughties, cancelled their Greatest Hits Tour last year.
Yet they then performed a gig in Melbourne, where Liz was replaced by Michelle due to her fear of flying.
It is a busy time for Michelle, who will soon be taking to the stage to play the Wicked Queen in a pantomime version of Disney Classic Snow White.
Talking of her daughter's reaction to her new role, she : "Faith saw the pictures of me dressed up and isn't impressed that I'm not playing Snow White, but I keep telling her I'm too old now, my princess days are over."
