AS A 'genuine hardcore rapper' Honey G is regular talking about 'respect' - but X Factor viewers were left asking why she couldn't show any for the nation's war heroes on tonight's show.
The remaining finalists took to the stage to sing a rousing cover of Andra Day's Rise Up as a special Remembrance Day performance - but the Harrow-born IT recruitment consultant managed to offend viewers by throwing 'gang signs' mid-song.
Host Dermot O'Leary informed viewers that the singing hopefuls would be paying a special tribute to Britain's war dead with a 'Remembrance Day performance'.
Dressed all in white, the contestants didn't hit a bum note, but the performance still managed to make people feel uncomfortable.
However, it seems she still managed to offend viewers, with one branding her hip-hop lite 'gang signs' a "f***ing joke".
The viewer fumed: "Honey g hand movements during the Remembrance Day song was a f***ing joke."
Others were equally upset with the dentist daughter's disrespectful gesturing.
One commented: "So so disgraceful that @The_Honey_G was flapping her hands about as if she's 'rapping' during a remembrance performance @TheXFactor #xfactor."
It's the second time today at the rapper has managed to offend the public.
Earlier she was caught tweeting during the national two minute's silence.
The controversial contestant begged fans for votes one minute into the national moment of reflection.
As the clock hit 11:01 am – one minute into the nationally observed silence – Honey wrote to her fans on Twitter.
She tweeted: “Get Voting For Honey G to go all the way through to The X Factor final.”
At the same time, the country had stood still as a mark of respect to those servicemen and women who fought for the United Kingdom.
It seemed the 35-year-old quickly realised her mistake however as she later deleted her tweet.
This weekend, the controversial performer aired her views on legalising cannabis.
She also revealed that she had conquered a drug addiction, and admitted to taking "a magic mushroom" and a variety of other class A substances.
