The Walking Dead sends Twitter into meltdown as fans react to ‘who’s the daddy’ revelation

THERE might be something worse than a gory bloody death after all – a slow and painful one.

That was the feeling by fans of The Walking Dead on Sunday night, who bemoaned seeing their favourite characters become under the thumb of the show’s nastiest villain yet – Negan - played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

But aside from Twitter fans feeling somewhat tortured by the over-long 85-minute episode, there was some fun to be had with the revelation of baby Judith’s biological father.

For a long time now, there has been lots of speculation that Rick is not her father, and he finally confirmed this in the episode.

“I know Judith isn’t mind. I know it. I love her. She’s not my daughter, but she isn’t mine,” Rick explained.

Judith is revealed to be the child of Rick’s wife Lori and Shane (Jon Bernthal) …and Twitter rejoiced.

Many mocked the revelation, hilariously comparing it to a Jeremy Kyle-style DNA episode where they find out who the father is.

At least they found some humor in an otherwise tortuous time in television.
