‘NOT EVERY DANCE IS WORTH A NINE’

Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood slams his fellow judges for giving such high marks

The dancing show judge hasn’t been impressed with his counterparts during this series

FROM BRUNO TONIOLI’s gags to ED BALLS’ Gangnam Style showstopper – nothing ever seems to put a smile on Strictly star CRAIG REVEL HORWOOD’s face.

And now notoriously hard-to-please judge has hit out at his fellow panel members for being too generous with their scores as he fears they will make the show boring.

Craig, who vowed on Sunday night to be looking at each dancer “very, very technically,” is yet to give his first ten this series while LEN GOODMAN, DARCEY BUSSELL and Bruno have already dished out their fair share of top scores.

In an exclusive interview, Craig said: “There is a lot of competition this year and because the level is so high I have to be nit-picky – I mean someone’s got to be.

“If it was up to the other judges it would just be a score of nine, nine, nine, nine, nines the whole time and it would be as dull as dishwater. Not every dance is worth a nine.”

Head judge Len got so swept up by Ed’s spectacular Salsa on Saturday that he awarded the ex-shadow chancellor an eight for his performance.

Craig, who’s yet to fall for Ed’s endearing charm, gave him half with a four.

He added: “I feel some of the pro dancers are protecting their partners at the moment.

“It’s like I said a couple of Saturdays ago, NATALIE LOWE could have put more Rumba in for GREG RUTHERFORD but she was protecting him because his hip action isn’t particular good so she tried to make him look better than he is.”

But one celeb the judges haven’t been   splashing out the lavish scores to is  ex-Hollyoaks star DANNY MAC.

The show favourite had to wait until week eight before he was awarded his first ten for his jive after claims judges have been penalising him for being too good.

But overall the judge’s marks have been the highest in eight years and up by more than 15 per cent on last year’s series.

The scores in Blackpool this weekend will be interesting.
