KNIGHT FRIGHT

Beverley Knight collapses onstage at Children in Need show but BBC edits it out

The broadcaster did not show her medical drama during the tribute to Sir Terry Wogan

BEVERLEY Knight collapsed on stage at the Children in Need Rocks show but the BBC edited the dramatic moment out of the TV broadcast.

The broadcaster chose not to air the dramatic moment the singer staggered off-stage during the charity's star-studded night of entertainment at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The singer suffered a medical emergency during the gig - which was a tribute to late broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan .

Shortly after it was filmed earlier this month, The Sun Online’s exclusive video revealed the drama during the terrifying incident.

Presenters Greg James and Fearne Cotton introduced Beverley as "exceptional" and one of the singers the Irishman, who tragically died in January, had championed.

Yet the camera then turned swiftly to her faultless performance of Whitney Houston classic I Will Always Love You - minus the terrifying aftermath which saw her staggering from the stage.

During the filming of the Children in Need event, we revealed shocked audience members gasped as the singer dropped to the floor.

Our exclusive video shows security staff swarming around Beverley, who leaned on one of the burly men as she was helped off the stage.

The singer seemed in high spirits when she arrived at the event as she posed on the red carpet.

“She was singing I Will Always Love You When It happened – she just dropped to the floor.

“People came to help her really quickly and they moved onto a quiz.

“Everyone in the audience was shocked, we just hope she’s feeling alright now.”

"Beverley looked extremely unwell during the show as she lolled on the floor and was helped off the stage by the security staff."
