The X Factor’s Honey G arrives for rehearsals as campaigners from Media-Watch UK urge ITV to drop the show from its prime time slot following her shocking drug revelations
TV bosses are being asked to air the show post-watershed after the aspiring rapper admitted taking class A drugs
HONEY G has been pictured arriving at The X Factor studios to take part in rehearsals for this weekend's show as campaigners urge ITV to axe the series from its prime time slot.
The aspiring rapper has come under fire after she told The Sun about dabbling with drugs, and now TV bosses are being told to drop The X Factor from the schedule and air it post-watershed.
Honey G put on a brave face today as she headed to Fountain Studios in north London to put the finishing touches to her X Factor performance.
The hip-hop fan showed her defiance by giving a thumbs-up as she walked into the building.
It comes as campaigners are calling on ITV chiefs to take action over Honey G's recent drug revelations.
The revelations shocked fans, and many have called on show bosses to boot her from the programme.
However, she has remained in the line-up and activists are concerned that keeping her in the show may glamorise drug use for the millions of youngsters who watch the show.
They are now urging ITV bosses to move The X Factor to a later time slot.
A representative for Media-Watch UK told The Sun Online exclusively: "It doesn’t help parents do their job when a contestant taking part in a programme that is aired during a peak family viewing slot...
"And aimed at family audiences, admits in a national newspaper to taking drugs, including Class A ones.
"Parents and families need to be assured that broadcasters will be responsible in their scheduling of pre-watershed content...
"It is ultimately for Ofcom to decide whether there has been any breach of its code in this instance...
"But we would like to see broadcasters acknowledge the wider impact and influence of high-profile contestants from popular family TV shows and reflect this in either the timing or content of the programme."
Rehearsals for this weekend's live shows continued as usual today as the acts prepare for the latest round of the competition.
Contestants including Emily Middlemas, Ryan Lawrie, 5 After Midnight and Saara Aalto were also spotted heading to the studios today.
They are all working hard to make sure their routines are ready for Saturday night's big show.
Honey G has been embroiled in a 'fix' storm in recent weeks as she seemed to suggest she already knew she was going to get through to the next round.
The rapper also admitted she had practised a celebratory knee-slide in advance.
